I found a bug; if you click the executable file twice before the first window pops up, it runs the game on two windows without terminating one of the windows.
Not surprised. This can happen with almost any executable. The short answer is don't do it. The long answer is upgrade your computer, and stop trying to do it.
I'm having the same bug as everyone else, but what i haven't seen is people noticing the "failed to check for updates check your connection" so far my game is up to date and it's a new save for the update because every update removes my save anyway. If I go into a battle or edit my island i get this. At this point i feel like doing a new game wont fix this issue so im not even going to attempt.
Hey there. Every update does not remove your save. That is what is causing these errors. I changed some of the ways save files are handled and did not change the save version number. If you hold down new game, it should fix your problem.
When the game try's to load old save file the island code from the old Ver of the game the lines are different thus thus the game bugs out and saying"Array index must be positive at gml_Script_island_update_stats".

Hey, I just beat the final boss. Although there are more maps now, I can't do anything after I update the version and still stuck in the last position. After playing for so long, tired and don't want to start the game again. I have to say that this game is very interesting, but the difficulty is really higher. I rely on tricks to sneak off the game before the death to avoid death.

This game is really amazing. keep it up. but what I would loooooove would be a sandbox or creative mode where you have everything at your disposal including tech
By far, one of my favorite games on my computer, simplistic, but also challenging. Things i've noticed recently, It feels the scaling late game of enemy ships spikes at the last map. Shields went from 12-15 straight to 24+ with 10+ weapons. The ! enemies i felt like were harder than the final boss. Maybe make final boss harder? or tune down the scaling a bit to make the boss challenging. Other than that, all my time playing has been a blast.
It's a good idea, that would be pretty awesome, also with a balenced system (like if you add more bullets shot to a weapon, it will add more size or pounds in it) so the weapons are not to op. Also, a map creator with custom ennemies islands could be nice too, even better if you could share your maps online ^^
This is strange, i got 3 of those, it's says that it can add 2 more weapons, so, logically, i can have +6 weapons, but the problem is that i can only put 5 weapons on my island, it's maybe a bug or something... can you fix it, please? >w< (i'm in the second world, the game is hard at this point without enought weapons ^^') Thank you ^^

Hey man! I haven't seen that error in 1.15 before. Can you confirm that you are indeed on 1.15? Also, what sector/zone are you in and how often have you seen this?
Anyways, the weapons doing weird things when you have more than 9 is a bug that will get fixed in the next update.
Hey Jwiggs could you balance the enemy islands spamming mortars? I've encountered many islands with more than 6 mortars/double mortars, and they tear through my island. They start in mid/late 2nd world, before i have very much to defend against them, and not as much firepower as i need.
Yeah, this seems to be a bug I created when I fixed the bug where crystals don't generate energy. In other words, I am aware of this and it will be fixed in the next update.
I think that blank preview indicates that it will yield a random item. Could be another legendary item or a mythic! I don't have the guts to try it when you come so far into the game.
also, if u quit the game when ur about to die, you can continue before you died and get a new enemy, I do it sometimes when I get put against an enemy with 3 or more mortars :c
Sorry to bother but would you have an answer to why my mac tells me "The following disk images couldn't be opened" "Reason, no mountable file systems."
Ive ran the command in terminal before and after download, I've verified the disk image in disk utility, I've restarted my mac on several occasions but it still gives me this message
Some people have gotten this error from having an older mac, or having older software. I can confirm that it works on High Sierra and probably Sierra, but anything under that I'm not sure. Which osX are you running?
Sorry bout that. The timeout feature i implemented didnt work as planned. The next update coming out in a few days should fix this. For 1.15, you will need a decent connection though.
Hey, do you mind making save slots in the game? I have had a few issues with getting far in the game, taking a break, and when opening to the title screen I click new game naturally. Even after immediately closing out I have to start over. Thank you
The forge has a recipe book that is procedurally generated. This means that throughout all your different runs, if you put in the same three items(order doesn't matter), you will get the same output.
With the forge, it pays off to play around with it. Substitute in some blocks to try and get a better one. If you like a recipe, write it down somewhere.
Agree. I was lucky enough to not face them that often. I loss twice (both to grenadier user) and still manage to win the game. Still manage to win against some of them tho
Hey man! I'm pretty sure you have to run the command before downloading. So try ejecting the dmg and re downloading the game. Also, I have had people who have had problems on older software versions(anything before sierra).
I L O V E this game! The concept is great, the style is great, the difficulty is perfect, all around the best game I've played all summer, including mainstream stuff.

why is there no end screen if you win?

Nothing the devs can do to fix that.
There is a typo or a bug with the small firepower unit; it says that it provides 2 additional weapon slots but it only provides 1 additional slot.
The small firepower unit does indeed provide 2 additional weapon slots, but most weapons will take up 2 slots anyways(check their size).

The new Errors are caused by old save files.

You should add a ingame modding and texture editing gui, and allow these to be saved and shared

Make sure to check the size of each weapon. Most weapons take up 2 weapon slots while stronger ones take up 3

I pressed, and it didn't take my gold or the items, it just said "Failed" i'm guessing it makes nothing yet.

Yes, the difficulty does pick up later in the game. If you really want too, anyone can beat the final boss. Just takes a little time though.

Is it any surprise that I find the common enemies of the last 2 worlds harder than the final boss at times?
Yup it is! I found it suprising myself. Balancing will be done in the future. The dev seems to prioritize fixing bugs that are ruining gameplay.
Right now the closest workaround seems to be closing the game and restarting to reroll the enemy. Mortars are impossibly irritating ;-;

I tried to play this game on Mac and I did the Terminal thing but every time I open it, it says 'Game not found!' Please tell me how to fix that.
